True Food Kitchen opens in Cherry Creek North!

Another member of the Fox Restaurant Group family has landed in Cherry Creek North. On Monday, October 29th, True Food Kitchen will open the doors of their newest location, and first in Colorado, on the corner of 2nd and Detroit. This health- inspired menu is sure to satisfy your palate and your body. Dr Andrew Weil’s based his creations off an anti-inflammatory diet that will make you feel better and live longer. Using super foods such as kale and quinoa, he combines flavor with nutrition for brunch, lunch, dinner, and even dessert. We are so excited to welcome this innovative and delicious restaurant into the neighborhood! They will definitely feel at home here in Colorado, the most health-conscious state in America.

We are very excited about receiving the 2012 Downtown Merit Award from the International Downtown Association! We were recognized for our role in the recently completed City and County of Denver Cherry Creek Area Plan, which will encourage reinvestment in Cherry Creek North. Cherry Creek North’s Signature Summer Events!

Mark your calendars everyone because Cherry Creek North has a summer full of events for you! We will be kicking off the fun-filled summer schedule tomorrow, Thursday, June 21, with a sculpture unveiling by the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. This will take place from 5:00 to 6:30pm on Steele Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues. Following the unveiling, there will be activities and special promotions taking place throughout Cherry Creek North galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. July 19-22 will be Cherry Creek North’s 42nd Annual Sidewalk Sale featuring nearly one hundred of our merchants. The 4th Annual Cherry Creek North Food & Wine will take place on August 11 from 6:00 to 10:00pm. The festival will be held on Fillmore Plaza and will feature twenty-four of our unique food and beverage establishments. Tickets are on sale now for $50! Wrapping up the summer season on September 6 will be a first time event for Cherry Creek North. We will be celebrating Fashion’s Night Out, which will include a fashion show, in-store events, and much more. This is sure to be an exciting season for Cherry Creek North!
Happy Anniversary B-Cycle!

This week B-Cycle is celebrating their 2 year anniversary! Over the past two years they have given thousands of people the opportunity to swap driving for bike riding by placing B-Cycle stations all over the Denver metro area and various cities across the United States. This convenient bicycle sharing program promotes sustainability, good health, and fun all at the same time! Here in CCN we have two B-Cycle stations where you can borrow or drop off your B-Cycle bicycle for the day. One is located right outside the Cherry Creek North office at 299 Milwaukee St. and the other at 250 Columbine St. across the street from the USPS office. To celebrate their two successful years, B-Cycle is hosting a party at MCA Denver this Sunday, April 22nd from 5-8pm. The museum will be free to the public and the party will include food trucks, live music, beer, and giveaways including a $10 Bicycle Village gift card! Also on April 22nd from 10am-2pm stop by the Denver Botanical Gardens where B-Cycle members will receive $10 off an annual Denver Botanical Gardens membership as well as many other fun prizes, giveaways, and discount offers. Deja Blue Boutique

This Saturday March 24th at 9AM a very special new boutique is opening their doors. You have probably heard of Goodwill but have you heard of Déjà Blue Boutique? Déjà Blue Boutique is the first of its kind in Colorado! A new branch off of Goodwill, this unique boutique will feature gently used brand name shoes, clothing, and accessories sold for only a fraction of their retail value. All items will be high-quality, trend worthy fashions that have been donated by the community. Due to Goodwill’s commitment to sustainability, decorative fixtures and displays featured in-store will be created from repurposed materials and goods! We can already tell that Déjà Blue Boutique is going to be a big hit. Stop in the store to welcome them to the neighborhood and search for some new treasures on Saturday March 24th!
I want to ride my B-cycle!

Spring has sprung and we are so excited to have the Colorado sunshine warming us inside and out once again. What better activity is there to do on days such as these than go for a bike ride?! In case you don’t have a bike or you are walking the neighborhood and get the desire to ride one, we have two B-cycle stops here in CCN! B-cycle is a wonderful bike exchange program that allows you to check out a bike and return it to any B-cycle stop around the city, or even the state for that matter. Here in the neighborhood we have one stop located on the west side of Milwaukee St. up against the 299 Milwaukee Street building and another one on the east side of Columbine St. in between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. The B-cycle program is affordable and convenient with tons of bike racks located all across Denver. There is even a cute little basket on the front to store any snacks and/or goodies that you pick up on your ride. So on the next sun shinny day when you are looking for something to do, ride a B-cycle!

News Flash: Parking is Fun!

Parking troubles got you down? Not to worry. We understand that one of the key elements of a successful shopping journey is getting a good parking spot. This holiday season we have some insider information that will ensure you are able to park with ease. NorthCreek will be offering valet parking open to anyone no matter where you are off to in Cherry Creek North. And the best part? It’s free! If you are coming in for the weekend but staying downtown and don’t happen to have a car, Cherry Creek North has organized a free shuttle service that can bring you here from select downtown hotels and back again. If you are looking for street parking, we have lots of that too, and our new smart meters have made paying for your spot as easy as spending it on a new pair of shoes (except it will cost less, promise). There are also six different garages located throughout the neighborhood if you prefer that your car is sheltered from the cold weather. Parking troubles no more! Avanti Drives for Judi’s House

Every year Avanti likes to participate in a charitable drive to give back to the Denver Community. This year they have chosen a cause near and dear to their heart, Judi's House. Their mission is to help children and families who are grieving the death of a loved one. Avanti is asking for all to join them in reaching out this holiday season to help as many children and families as possible by providing Judi's House with much needed items. Donations can be dropped off at their location November 28th - December 20th. Click here to see the items that are most needed.

Cherry Creek North shoppers have reported bumping into two huge Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaurs lurking on display! These T-Rex installments have been placed on 2nd & Detroit and 3rd & Milwaukee to let everyone know about the Denver Museum of Nature & Science’s new exhibit, T-Rex Encounter. Don’t be afraid to jump up next to the big dinosaurs and take a picture when you walk by, and be sure to catch all of the interesting facts printed next to the T-Rex. DMNS T-Rex Encounter takes people back 67 million years ago to the Cretaceous world of Sue, the most famous Tyrannosaurus Rex that ever lived. With advanced robotics and cutting edge face recognition technology, prepare to come face to face with a T-Rex that knows you are looking at him and encounter a mother Triceratops protecting her eggs. This journey back to the prehistoric is an epic exhibit you don’t want to miss!
Show of Hands Embraces New Changes

Just like the fall leaves that have changed colors from green to yellow, big changes are taking place at Show of Hands contemporary craft gallery. Owners Deb and Douglas have been working hard at their beloved store for 27 years, but they are confident and ready to pass it down to part time employee Katie and her long time friend Mandy. Katie has been working at Show of Hands for 8 years, at Art Z for 5, and has been collecting American crafts since college. Her best friend and new business partner Mandy has an extensive background in marketing. Together the two have plans amazing plans for Show of Hands that would make Deb and Douglas proud!
The New North Wins!

Each year judges from ENR vote for their favorite projects that took place in the Rocky Mountain States. Categories cover a wide range from government, health care, education and industry, to hospitality and entertainment. This year, Cherry Creek North was up against competitors all over the state of Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota. It wasn’t an easy run but we are ecstatic to announce that The New North, completed last June, won Best Landscape/Hardscape/Urban Development Project! Hip hip hooray!

The completion of our huge renovation project and addition of 20 new art and garden spaces could be the perfect opportunity for your big break. As you probably know, the Cherry Creek Arts Festival has been bringing local and renowned artists into the neighborhood for one weekend in July every year. Beautiful pieces and creativity collaborate to make one of the most well known events in Colorado.
