It’s the 40th Annual Cherry Creek North Sidewalk Sale Thursday July 22 through Sunday July 25, and in this second installment of Sidewalk Sale News from the North, we go beyond clothing fashions and focus on the fashionable fun on display in the neighborhood. Alternative Healing
A new neighbor in the Cherry Creek North neighborhood, Alpine Herbal Wellness, at 313 Detroit St., is, yes, a medical marijuana dispensary, but so much more. One of the owners, Susan Harank, is a cancer survivor, and her partner Nicholas King lost his wife to ALS, and both know from experience the therapeutic powers of cannabis and other non-traditional healing modalities. The center offers a variety of cannabis strains, medical edibles, medicated ointments, oils and salves, as well non-medicated edibles such as gluten-free fare, and cooking classes. In addition, Alpine maintains a collaborative, alternative Practitioners Network for a variety of treatments and relief, from acupuncture, aromatherapy, chiropractic, to massage, nutrition, sports medicine, yoga, and more. This is Alpine’s first Sidewalk Sale, so stop by and say “Hi!”

	The Originals While Cherry Creek North is famous for its venerable, unique and long-time merchants, the neighborhood is also a constant draw for new ideas, new one-of-a-kind venues. Such is Studiojane, a small gallery that sells original paintings and hand-printed cards created in the studio, as well as handmade items from outside artists, now open at 290 Fillmore St. The studio/gallery is an open and inviting space with affordable artwork, ideal for gift giving, with pottery arriving soon and art workshops and charity events in the works. The Daisy bra is on sale in select colors, plus you’ll enjoy discounts on designers including Hanky Panky, Marie Jo, Prima Donna, Eberjey and Natori. 	Frame It Is it Cherry Creek Framing or Gallerie Rouge? The answer is both, of course, and the result is a boon to art patrons throughout Denver. The gallery, at 2600 E. Third Ave., has the largest selection of vintage advertising posters available in Colorado, some dating back more than 130 years. These are original posters printed using stone lithography, mostly European in origin, that were the choice advertising medium of the day for theaters, travel and restaurants and more, and in such famous styles as Art Deco and Art Nouveau. There are sizes and styles to fit any décor, and come with certificates of authenticity. 	Magic Marketplace The Wizard’s Chest, of course, has been casting a spell over Cherry Creek North at 230 Fillmore St. since 1983, with a collection of toys, games and costumes unparalleled in Colorado and perhaps the world. The pixie dust will be spread magically for the Sidewalk Sale, with special things people haven’t seen before guaranteed to “blow people away,” staffers say. During the sale, The Wizard’s Chest will have its usual lineup of mystical activities, like the Monsterpocalypse (a giant monster combat game soon to be a movie), Game Night, open and tournament play in the Legends of the Five Rings, and Friday Night Magic, with sideshows featuring jugglers and Yo-Yo-ers. 	Tons of Toys For 30 years, the destination for unique, quality and educational toys, games, puzzles and creative playthings has been Kazoo & Company Toys, 2930 E. Second Ave. The annual Cherry Creek North Sidewalk Sale is a highlight. “We've been preparing for a month,” says the management. “We’ll have all retired items on sale for 50% off – and there are lot of them.” Stuffed animals, science kits, art kits, trucks, toddler toys, and toys that are both educational and playful. The whole set-up will be on the adjacent Fillmore Plaza to accommodate the “tons of tables” and, of course, to accommodate tons of fun.
