Caribou has been created by Shelly Metz as a showcase for innovative Colorado lifestyle and Native American inspired art, artifacts, jewelry, accessories, glass art and home decor.
The Caribou artisan boutique is a comfortable and inviting space with an intriguing blend of old and new treasures reflecting the Colorado Lifestyle and traditions of the West. Caribou is not only a showcase for art...it is art. Artist and designer, Douglas Rich, designed the store concept, logo and fixtures. Each of which is a work of art in its own right. His multiple talents also grace the inside of the store with glass art, lighting, paintings, jewelry and sculpture. Douglas' continuous creative passion was instrumental in the creation of the store. You might say that Caribou is truly a blend of fine art and creative spirit. Inclusive of Mr. Rich’s creations, you will discover the inspired work of additional artist’s Alan and Jason Tiensvold, and Robin Smith; oil paintings, sculpture, native artifacts, and historical reproductions.
