Revampt Opens its Doors in Denver

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Revampt, Cherry Creek North’s newest home furnishing store, opens its doors today in its newly renovated building at 2601 E. Third Avenue in Cherry Creek North. Revampt sells sensible, utilitarian, and affordable home furnishings, goods and gifts all made from recycled, repurposed, or reclaimed materials.

About the Owners
Revampt was incorporated in 2010 by co-founders Keir Myers, age 22, and Daniel Louis, age 26. Myers graduated from Colorado College with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Louis graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. The two young entrepreneurs were inspired by the idea of upcycling: the art of creating new products from materials that would otherwise be discarded in landfills or the environment. Myers, with a business background, was inspired by the economic implications of waste, “So much that is thrown away or wasted has continued utility- it just takes someone with inspiration and creativity to tap into that.” This attitude, combined with Louis’ art and architecture background, has been the driving force behind Revampt’s premise: even the building in which the business stands, one of Cherry Creek North’s oldest at least a century old, contains salvaged hardwood flooring, brickwork, and displays. Louis explains, “despite the fact that it has taken a long time, the store renovations were able to keep the original integrity, look, and feel of the historic building while adding in modern amenities to improve the utility, functionality, and life of the space.”

Product Offering
Customers entering Revampt will be inspired by the resourcefulness of one of a kind pieces that each have a long history and story behind them. Pieces include a wide variety of rustic elements, perfect for one’s Aspen slope-side home, as well as sleek, modern works prepared to make an elegant statement in a LoDo loft. Some notables include a bookshelf made out of reclaimed wood from Central City mining cabins or even a relaxing chair made from an old bourbon barrel. Need a gift? How about a glass bowl from a reincarnated Grey Goose Vodka bottle or a keychain fabricated from outdated street signs. In addition, a significant portion of Revampt’s
inventory is sourced from local, Colorado artisans, which make custom work easy and eco-friendly. Overall Revampt has sourced from thirty vendors.
Revampt will be open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday in Cherry Creek North on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Columbine Street.
