Tips to Discover Fine Art for Your Home, Virtually

Featuring Fascination St. Fine Art

Fascination St. Fine Art is experienced at hosting engaging virtual art shows. In this photo from a November 2019 event, artist Fabio Napoleoni shares his work with attendees.

Even for avid art fans, attending a virtual art show like Fascination St. Fine Art's event featuring artist Fabio Napoleoni next Saturday, May 30, may seem a bit daunting. But just like any virtual chat, it's all about connecting and having fun while learning more about the artist's work, says Aaron LaPedis, who established the 3rd Avenue gallery known for its colorful paintings and sculptures in 1992.

LaPedis shares that during the event, Napoleoni will be discussing his collection, painting live during the show, and showcasing new gallery exclusives and originals available for purchase. For more details and to RSVP, contact the gallery at (303) 333-1566 or email

Below, LaPedis shares his tips to get the most out of any virtual art show so you can be prepared to score the perfect piece for your home:

  • Often, there will be a Q&A session during live shows. Be sure to research the artist (here's more information about Napoleoni) so you're prepared to ask questions during the session. "Art shows are all about bringing the artist and collectors closer together, and interacting with the artist is the No. 1 way to get the most out of the show," LaPedis says.
  • Check out the gallery's available artwork ahead of time so you have an idea of what you'd like to purchase. Fascination St. Fine Art offers virtual previews: if you send in a photo of your space, they can show you what a specific piece of artwork would look in your home!
  • There are often perks when you make a purchase during a gallery's event. Perks can include free gifts with purchase, special artist dedications, or even special pricing. During the Napoleoni show, the gallery is offering a free mini-print with Fabio purchases of $250 or more, and all purchased works can be dedicated and include a special show doodle (excluding metal artwork and books). Reach out to your gallery beforehand to see what kind of show specials they are offering.
  • Most importantly, have fun! Pour yourself a glass of wine, sit back, and enjoy the virtual show.

If you're planning to attend the virtual show or stopping in the gallery any time soon, make sure to give a big congratulations to Fascination St. Fine Art as they were recently named a finalist for the Denver Business Journal's 2020 Small Business Awards! Read more about the insights LaPedis has gained over nearly 30 years as a retail executive in the DBJ's Q&A feature
