Featuring Show of Hands
As shops and restaurants slowly begin to reopen their doors and dining rooms throughout Denver, all of us at Cherry Creek North want to thank all of you who shopped online, bought gift cards and supported your favorite small businesses on social media throughout their closure.
We're proud of our business community, which is comprised of 70 percent small and locally owned shops, restaurants and service providers who appreciate all you've done to support them through this challenging time.
Did you know? The original idea to give big, shop small and "Keep Cherry Creek Unique" came from our friends at Show of Hands!
To help you spread the local small business love, Show of Hands has some excellent gifts for Father's Day, your far-away friends and family who may be missing Colorado right now or even your neighbor who loves supporting local artists and makers.
For over 38 years, Show of Hands has made it simple to discover new artisans and decorate your home with fabulous one-of-a-kind finds. Show of Hands owner Katie Friedland is passionate about supporting the local small business community, so much so that her store manager, MK, came up with the "Keep Cherry Creek Unique" tagline, which is emblazoned on a poster in the shop's window today.
We'd like to give a big thank you to MK and Katie for letting Cherry Creek North borrow this phrase and use it as our guiding light during this unprecedented time.
Check out a few of Katie's favorite Colorado-themed gifts below and stop by the store, which is now open for business and adhering to strict safety and cleanliness precautions, during regular hours: Monday through Saturday 10am - 6pm and Sunday 11am - 4pm. Additionally, you can find more gift ideas on Show of Hands' website. Curbside pick-up and shipping are both available.
For the friend who loves 14ers:
Colorado Posters has been locally producing high-quality posters that reflect Colorado’s spirit, beauty and sense of place for years! These posters are 11×17 four-color beauties, illustrated and printed on thick stock in Colorado, ready for framing and designed in the style of the Federal Arts Project (FAP) of the 1930s during the Great Depression. The FAP poster style grew out of the belief that the spiritual and aesthetic pleasures of art should be available to the widest number of people. These posters look great in a frame hanging on the wall of your home or office and make a great gift to others.
For the father who wants to smell as fresh as the Front Range:
Mountain Time Soap Shop's handmade natural soap for outdoor enthusiasts makes a smooth bar of soap with an equally zen scent. Handmade in Golden, the soaps are colored with only plant-based ingredients made in nature.
For the mom who loves mixing up new cocktails:
