Current Opportunities

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, and working with Operations staff, this role will identify opportunities through daily inspections of the Public Right of Way in the Cherry Creek North (CCN) district by regularly observing general conditions to address and resolve safety concerns, asset issues or damages, hardscape concerns, landscape or irrigation issues, snow and ice concerns and electrical issues.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regular district inspections of the Public Right of Way
  • Address, repair or restore issues that have been identified regarding district assets
  • Communicate issues/concerns with CCN management, contractors, property owners, property managers and retailers
  • Identify and address safety concerns or potentially unsafe conditions
  • Identify and resolve landscape or irrigation issues
  • Report and mitigate snow, ice and other unsafe winter conditions
  • Work with CCN contractors and vendors to ensure they are operating in a safe manner and performing to a standard that meets or exceeds CCN expectations
  • Staining of wooden assets
  • Painting of metal assets
  • Sign and Wayfinding maintenance
  • Paver / Hardscape repair
  • Minor Landscape / Irrigation repair
  • Maintain accurate records or reports
  • Provide emergency responses when needed during off hours
  • Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Property maintenance experience
  • Ability to interact professionally and efficiently (oral and written) with management, staff, contractors, property owners, residents, retailers and visitors
  • Hands on experience with basic painting, staining, electrical repair, hardscape repair, landscaping and irrigation repair, snow and ice mitigation
  • Physical requirements include being able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, substantial walking and use of power and hand tools. Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license from the state of Colorado

WORK SCHEDULE / ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS

  • Full time hourly position at $28.00 – $31.00 per hour
  • 8-hour shifts Monday – Friday with on-call during off hours / weekend availability when necessary
  • Tools, resources, and parking will be provided

As a direct report to the President & CEO, the Vice President of Marketing & Communications develops and executes strategic marketing, communications, and sponsorships for the District in accordance with its strategic goals and operating plans. The Vice President creates and implements marketing strategies via detailed planning and through collaboration with agencies, partners, and advisors. The Vice President is responsible for developing and maintaining a strong brand identity/positioning as a leading Denver destination to ensure increased visitation to the District by locals and visitors.

This role requires a self-motivated professional who is skilled at building trust-based relationships with a variety of stakeholders including the Cherry Creek North Board of Directors, District constituents, myriad community organizations, tourism and hotel organizations, vendors, and City of Denver officials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Management

  • Work collaboratively with management, staff and board members of the District
  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards
  • Lead, develop, and empower marketing staff

Branding and Marketing

  • Develop Consumer and Tourism advertising strategies
  • Oversee the development, production, and media placement of creative campaigns with CCN’s agencies
  • Oversee the development and implementation of CCN’s digital marketing strategies and services
  • Oversee research strategies that guide and inform current and future CCN goals
  • Produce an annual CCN Marketing Plan and quarterly KPI analysis

Destination Marketing

  • Oversee Tourism initiatives with agencies that include Visit Denver, the Colorado Tourism Office, and others
  • Guide and direct the CCN Hotel Collective initiative and fund
  • Serve as a liaison for Visit Denver and CTO
  • Oversee PR/Media/Creative agencies for tourism strategy and assets
  • Build and maintains relationships within the tourism community locally, regionally and nationally

Events

  • Oversee CCN’s signature and third-party events

Media Relations

  • Serve as a spokesperson for CCN with media
  • Strategize with the CCN public relations agency to develop proactive and compelling media messages and pitch ideas
  • Secure coverage for the District that furthers the brand and its goals

Budget Management

  • Oversee the creation & forecasting of the departmental budget
  • Oversee the development of executive toplines for Finance Committee/Board on monthly variances

Cherry Creek Alliance Project Oversight

  • Oversee the annual budget, monthly and annual meeting/report and correspondence
  • Lead the execution of the annual State of Cherry Creek breakfast
  • CCN Arts Foundation

 Sponsorship

  • Develop the annual Sponsorship Strategy and Goals
  • Identify and connect with local and national brands
  • Secure cash and in-kind sponsorship consistent with CCN’s strategic goals
  • Achieve established sponsorship revenue goals

Education & Experience

This position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or other related discipline. An MBA is highly desirable. A minimum of ten years’ experience in one of the related disciplines is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $180,000 – $190,000 with additional incentive opportunity
