Giving Machines

Thursday, November 21, 2023 – Sunday, January 5, 2024

Picture this: Vending machines that don't dispense snacks or drinks, but instead, opportunities to donate to local charities. This holiday season, as lights twinkle and carols fill the air, the Giving Machines invite you to #LightTheWorld in a truly meaningful way.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Light the World Giving Machines?

Vending machines that make donating to charity as easy as buying a candy bar. In 2017 the Giving Machine was born in response to a heartfelt question, "What if giving to someone in need was as easy as buying a snack from a vending machine?" The purpose of Light the World Giving Machines is to give anyone, no matter their age or means, the chance to actively participate in a giving experience.

Who are the 2024 Charity Partners?

Visitors can make a donation to the following charities via the 2024 Giving Machines; Canine Partners of the Rockies, Children's Diabetes Foundation, Family Promise of Greater Denver, Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains, Mile High United Way, iDE, and Days for Girls.

How do they work?

Select an item, add to cart, swipe a debit or credit card and a card representing your gift drops into a bin so you can watch the donations pile up. Get a receipt by text or email. Your information is not collected or shared.

Where are they located?

A bank of four machines will be in the Cherry Creek North Winter Wanderland near the entrance to the Cherry Creek Holiday Market, located between 1st and 2nd Ave. on Fillmore St.
