If you’re adventuring outdoors with dogs, keeping them safe is paramount. And, of course, you want to maximize their fun!

To help you prepare, we’ve invited expert dog trainer and former mountain guide Gavin Ehringer to share his advice and tips on backcountry travel with Rover. In this hour-long mini seminar, Gavin will share tips on: trail etiquette & safety, equipment, training and canine first-aid. Demonstrating will be his street-smart, trail-savvy Australian Shepherds, Onda and Whammo.

Gavin is a certified dog trainer/behaviorist and owner of Ohana Canine Training of Cherry Creek. An avid backcountry traveler, he’s worked as an outdoor adventure guide in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range in Southern Colorado. He is a graduate of the Seattle Mountaineers climbing program. For more than three decades, his dogs have accompanied him on hikes, backpacking trips, winter excursions, desert adventures and surfing safaris from Mexico to Canada.
