Relevant Galleries Present: “Director’s Cut” with David Yarrow

LIGHTS DOWN. DOORS OPEN. On Saturday, November 7, Relevant Galleries premieres Director’s Cut, marking five years with David Yarrow. Every Yarrow photograph holds the moment just before the action: the light settling, the room going quiet, a look that tells you the next scene is already rolling. You know the film. You just haven’t seen it yet. Yarrow doesn’t take a photograph. He directs a scene. His work draws openly from the filmmakers who shaped him, Scorsese, Tarantino, Leone, and Scott, staged with the same casting, blocking, and tension as a full production. Director’s Cut brings these works together with the material that made them: contact sheets, behind-the-scenes footage, and Yarrow’s own account of casting, scouting, and staging each shot. This is not a career survey. It’s the take he chose to print, out of hundreds, and the story of why.
