Meet Elle Majors
Meet Elle Majors, the entrepreneur behind Elle Majors Salon, where elevated grooming, thoughtful design, and community come together in the heart of Cherry Creek North. With more than two decades in the salon industry, Elle has created a welcoming space that not only delivers exceptional services but also empowers independent beauty professionals to build and grow their own businesses.
More than a salon, Elle Majors Salon reflects Elle’s passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and giving back to the industry that has shaped her career. Alongside working behind the chair, she’s also developed salon management software designed to help salon owners and independent stylists thrive. Rooted in collaboration and community, her vision is to create a place where clients can relax and feel their best, while beauty professionals find a supportive home to grow, connect, and succeed.

What inspired you to open your salon?
I’ve been in the industry for over two decades, and I’ve always loved the Cherry Creek North area. When I decided to open another salon, it just made sense for this to be the place.
At the same time, I had gone back to school for software development to build salon management software, so I felt like Cherry Creek North was the ideal place to bring both passions together continuing to work behind the chair while also growing the technology side of my business.
What made Cherry Creek North the right place for your next chapter?
Cherry Creek North stood out to me not just because it’s such a beautiful area, but because there’s a real sense of community. There are so many small businesses here that genuinely support one another, and I wanted to be part of that.
I’ve become friends with neighbors who’ve been here for more than 20 years. I even have a little garden behind Mark Bagher’s Rug Store. Those relationships have made this feel like home, and that’s something not everyone gets to experience. It’s been a real gift.
How would you describe the experience, and atmosphere clients can expect when they walk into the salon?
I wanted to create a space where everyone feels welcome. My goal for the space was to have it feel warm, inviting, elevated, and calm. It’s a place where people can relax, recharge, and leave feeling like their best selves.
Every salon has its own philosophy. What sets Elle Majors Salon apart, and what do you hope clients remember most after visiting?
For me, this salon is really about supporting other small business owners. Salon professionals can rent a chair here, build their own businesses, and become part of the Cherry Creek North community in whatever way feels meaningful to them. Creating a space that uplifts and empowers independent professionals has always been at the heart of this salon.
This industry has given so much to me over the years, and creating this space felt like a way to give back and pay it forward.

Before opening the salon, you also built a software platform designed specifically for salon professionals. How did that entrepreneurial journey come about, and has it influenced how you run your business today?
Growing up, I watched both of my parents build businesses, and they couldn’t have been more different. My dad was a computer programmer and served in the military, so he was very structured and analytical. My mom was an artist and incredibly creative. Together, they showed me both sides of entrepreneurship.
Watching them succeed and struggle, gave me a passion for creating and building things.
As I owned salons and barbershops over the years, I kept running into the same challenges: managing salon space, renting chairs, handling payments, and helping independent stylists connect with opportunities. I realized there had to be a better way.
That’s what inspired me to go back to school for software development. It was honestly one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but it reinforced something important: the things that feel the most impossible are often worth pursuing. If you stick with it, you’ll get there. It takes time, but it’s worth it.
Now, I hope that software I’ve built helps salon owners better manage their businesses while making it easier for independent stylists to find spaces where they can thrive.
As a woman-owned business, what has been the most rewarding part of building your brand?
One of the most rewarding parts has been seeing so many other women building businesses too, especially in this industry. So many are raising families, taking care of others, and doing incredibly hard things every day.
If sharing my own journey helps someone believe they can do it too, that means everything to me. Someone recently wrote to thank me for being honest about how difficult entrepreneurship can be and how lonely it sometimes feels. Moments like that remind me of why sharing the journey matters.
I’ve been through difficult seasons myself, and building this business has helped me through them. That’s also why I chose the booth rental model instead of a traditional commission salon. Both models have value, but I really wanted to create opportunities for independent business owners who wanted to build something of their own here in Cherry Creek North.
Maybe someone starts here, grows their business, and eventually opens their own salon. I’d love to be part of helping make that happen.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you outside of the salon?
People are usually surprised that I went back to school for software development!
Outside of work, I really try to make time for nature and art because they help keep me grounded. I have a membership at the Denver Botanic Gardens and love walking through the gardens because every visit feels different. I also have memberships at local art museums!
On the hardest days, I try to step away for a little while, appreciate the beauty around me, and remind myself that every hard day is just one day in a lifetime, and a lifetime can still be beautiful.
As a new member of the Cherry Creek North community, what are you most looking forward to?
I’m naturally pretty introverted, so putting myself out there has been something new for me. I’ve been joining Chamber events, participating in a LEADS group, and looking for different ways to connect with the community. I recently moved to the neighborhood as well, so I’m excited to really put down roots here. More than anything, I’m looking forward to building lasting relationships and becoming part of a community that truly feels like home.
If someone has never visited your salon before, what would you say to invite them in?
While I specialize in men’s grooming, I really wanted to create services that offer something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a simple haircut or a more elevated grooming experience, I want people to feel like luxury grooming is accessible at a variety of price points.
For independent stylists, I want this to feel like a place they can truly call home. It’s a place where they can grow their business, build community, and thrive alongside other entrepreneurs.
