Meet Christa Chase
Meet Christa Chase, the owner behind Lagree Luxe, where elevated fitness meets community, empowerment, and results-driven movement. Christa has created a boutique wellness studio in Cherry Creek North that brings together expert instruction, innovative training, and a welcoming atmosphere, helping clients build strength and balance both inside and outside the studio.
Lagree Luxe has become a go-to destination for those seeking a challenging yet low-impact workout experience. Centered around the transformative Lagree Method, the studio offers thoughtfully curated classes designed to strengthen the body, improve endurance, and support long-term wellness. From first-time participants to dedicated fitness enthusiasts, every client is met with personalized attention and a commitment to helping them reach their goals.

What inspired you to start Lagree Luxe, and how did the idea first come to life?
I spent 15 years working in architecture, and by the time I had my second child, I realized I had very little flexibility in my schedule. I was working long hours and wanted something that offered more balance, more community, and more connection to people.
Fitness had always been a huge part of my life. I ran cross-country, played soccer growing up, and have always loved both the gym and boutique fitness. As I started looking for a career that aligned with the lifestyle I wanted, I explored Lagree studios throughout Colorado and reflected on experiences I’d had living in New York, London, and California. I saw an opportunity for growth in both the Lagree and fitness spaces.
In 2019, I opened my first studio in the Golden Triangle, just six months before COVID. It was definitely a leap of faith, but I figured the worst-case scenario was that I could always return to architecture. I knew I needed something more community-driven and flexible, and I haven’t looked back since.
How would you describe the Lagree Luxe experience? What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about Lagree or your studio?
The Cherry Creek studio has a really special history. It was actually the third Lagree studio in the world, opening in 2008. I purchased it in 2020, and today there are more than 500 Lagree studios worldwide.
What makes this location unique is the incredible sense of community. Because it’s been around for so long, we have clients who have taken more than 2,000 classes. People often become hooked after their very first class. Not just because of the workout, but because of the relationships they build here. You can walk into class and see friends, neighbors, and familiar faces. It’s truly community-driven, and that’s what keeps people coming back.
How do you curate the experience, from music to movement, to make each class feel special?
One of the things I love most about Lagree is that there are thousands of different movements, more than 5,000, in fact. I think about programming classes almost like choreographing a dance. It’s about creating the right flow, energy, and challenge while making sure we’re working every muscle group.
All of our classes are 45 minutes and full body, which is something that sets us apart. Rather than splitting workouts into separate muscle groups, we believe in giving clients an efficient, comprehensive workout every time they walk through the door.
Lagree is a high-intensity, low-impact workout performed on a Megaformer. It’s challenging, but it’s also safe on the joints and spine. The method is built around slow, controlled movements that target slow-twitch muscle fibers, helping improve strength, endurance, and muscle tone.
People love the results, especially the core and oblique work, and that’s a big reason why they keep coming back. It’s an effective, full-body workout that challenges both the body and mind while helping clients feel stronger, more balanced, and more confident over time.
Why do you think wellness spaces like Lagree Luxe are important for neighborhoods like Cherry Creek North?
Community is everything. Wellness spaces create opportunities for people to connect with their neighbors while investing in their physical and mental health.
We often say our goal is to be stronger than we were yesterday. Not just physically, but mentally as well. We have many moms who attend classes during the school day and have built friendships and support systems through the studio.
Mental health is also a huge part of the equation. I recently had hip surgery and wasn’t able to work out for a period of time, and I felt the impact immediately. Exercise plays such an important role in overall well-being.
That’s why we keep our classes to 45 minutes and focus on making them accessible. Whether someone is balancing a busy schedule, recovering from an injury, or simply trying to fit movement into their day, Lagree provides an effective workout that works for a wide range of people.

What keeps you motivated and inspired as a business owner in the health and fitness space?
Honestly, my instructors motivate me every day. We now have 35 instructors across our studios, and they’re incredibly talented, passionate, and dedicated to helping others.
I continue teaching because I want to stay connected to our team, our clients, and the experience itself. Seeing people regain confidence after an injury, navigate pregnancy and postpartum, or simply challenge themselves in new ways is incredibly rewarding.
That’s actually how I found Lagree myself. I was looking for a workout that was both challenging and safe. That combination is what makes Lagree so powerful, and helping others discover it continues to inspire me.
What’s been the most rewarding moment since opening Lagree Luxe?
One of the most rewarding moments was purchasing our competitor during COVID and growing from one studio to three during such an uncertain time.
It was a huge risk, and there were definitely moments when it felt overwhelming. We expanded from eight instructors to more than 30, navigated countless challenges, and learned how to adapt quickly. Looking back, those experiences helped shape both the business and the person I am today.
I’m incredibly grateful that the risk paid off, and I’m proud of what we built during one of the most difficult periods for small businesses. More recently, opening our fourth studio in Platt Park has been another major milestone and a proud moment for our team.
What does it mean to you to own and operate a women-owned business?
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Even as a child, I loved building things, creating ideas, and finding ways to make them happen.
What means the most to me is creating opportunities for others. We’ve built an environment where instructors can earn additional income, find community, build friendships, and grow professionally. That’s incredibly rewarding.
It’s also empowering to be able to give back. We regularly partner with schools, nonprofits, and local organizations through donation-based classes, fundraisers, and community events. Supporting the community that supports us is a huge part of who we are and what we value as a business.
And of course, what is your own personal wellness/fitness philosophy and what is your favorite post-workout treat or ritual?
My philosophy is simple: never give up and never stop growing.
At Lagree Luxe, you’ll see the phrase “Stronger Than Yesterday” throughout our studios, and that’s something I truly believe in. Every day is an opportunity to challenge yourself—physically, mentally, or both. It’s about discovering what you’re capable of and continuing to push beyond your comfort zone.
As for a post-workout ritual, honestly, I just love that feeling of accomplishment after a great class. There’s nothing better than leaving the studio feeling stronger, energized, and ready for the rest of the day.
When you’re not in the studio and you have a free day to spend in Cherry Creek North, what’s your itinerary?
It would definitely start with a workout class, of course. After that, I’d spend time with my kids at Bromwell Park, enjoy some shopping around Cherry Creek, and then meet friends for happy hour at North Italia!
